Baseball Recap: Tohono O'Odham Takes a Loss

Tohono O'Odham was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 18-5 to Thunderbird Adventist Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Thunderbird Adventist Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-7 last Wednesday.

Clayden Nunez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Caden Flores was another key player, scoring a run and stealing four bases while going 1-for-1.

Tohono O'Odham's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Thunderbird Adventist Academy, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2.

Coming up, Tohono O'Odham will square off against Ajo at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Thunderbird Adventist Academy, they will take on Trinity Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Thunderbird Adventist Academy's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 10.8 runs per game this season.
