Volleyball Recap: West Point Warriors vs. Moody Blue Devils
Moody typically has all the answers at home, but on Thursday West Point proved too difficult a challenge. They blew past the Moody Blue Devils 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-21, 25-17.
West Point's offense was headlined by
Laklin Shadix and
Caitlee Simmons, who picked up seven kills apiece. They got some help from
Patton Fell and her 26 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.
West Point has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 21-23 record this season. As for Moody, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-7.
West Point wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Corner on the 24th. Moody does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
