Basketball Recap: Sheffield Comes Up Short

Sheffield lost against Bluff City back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Sheffield Knights were beaten by the Bluff City Gray Wolves 54-18. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Sheffield saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Armani Hewitt posted nine points and seven steals. Deonna Allen was another key player, putting up three points and five steals.

Sheffield's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-10. As for Bluff City, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Sheffield has already played their next game, a 60-15 loss against Briarcrest Christian on the 18th. Bluff City has also already played their next contest (against Wooddale), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
