Highlands extended their winning streak  to four  on Thursday, bumping them up to 24-9. They put the hurt on the Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds with a sharp  3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won  3-0  back in September.
 Liz Perkins paced Highlands' offense, picking up 15 kills. Perkins got some help from  Ava Muzumdar and her 17 assists.  Bella Thomas controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
As for Newport Central Catholic,  the  defeat snapped their winning streak at six matches  and leaves them with a 19-16 record. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss they have suffered  since September 25th.
 When it comes to explaining why Newport Central Catholic lost, don't look at  Jordyn Reckers. Despite the final result, she  had 22  digs and one  assist. Reckers has been hot recently, having  posted 11 or more  digs the last four times she's  played.
As of now, neither Highlands nor Newport Central Catholic have any future games scheduled.
