Basketball Game Preview: Waelder Wildcats vs. Round Top-Carmine Cubs + How To Watch

Waelder has gone 8-2 against Round Top-Carmine recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Cubs at 11:00 a.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Waelder is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Buckholts: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Badgers out of the water with an 88-23 final score. The Wildcats pushed the score to 69-15 by the end of the third, a deficit the Badgers had no chance of recovering from.

Waelder's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Tinel Weldon, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards, and Elijah Holloway, who posted 19 points in addition to six rebounds and four steals. Yandel Ontiveros was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Meanwhile, Round Top-Carmine strolled past Tribe W with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 72-54. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cubs.

Round Top-Carmine's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Waelder, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.
