Baseball Game Preview: Duchesne Pioneers vs. Orchard Farm Eagles

The Duchesne Pioneers are taking a road trip to take on the Orchard Farm Eagles at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. Duchesne's pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so Orchard Farm's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Saturday, Duchesne didn't have quite enough to beat Logan-Rogersville and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Orchard Farm narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past St. Charles 8-7. That's two games straight that the Eagles have won by just one run.

The victory made it two in a row for Orchard Farm and bumps their season record up to 6-7. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Duchesne, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.

Duchesne might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Orchard Farm in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Pioneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
