Softball Recap: South Pittsburg Comes Up Short

If South Pittsburg was riding high fresh off their 11-0 takedown of Moore County last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. South Pittsburg took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rhea County Golden Eagles on Friday.

South Pittsburg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Macy Mashburn, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

South Pittsburg's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Rhea County, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

South Pittsburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 1-0 defeat against Rockvale on the 21st. As for Rhea County, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, an 11-1 loss against DeKalb County on the 21st.
