Preview: Blazer Tomcats vs. South Point Pointers
The Blazer Tomcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Point Pointers at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday. Blazer will be strutting in after a victory while South Point will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Tuesday, Blazer made easy work of Magoffin County and carried off a 69-45 win.
Blazer's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zander Carter, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Lalonde, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, South Point couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of Lancaster by a score of 49-46.
The losses dropped Blazer to 1-1 and Magoffin County to 1-2.
Blazer couldn't quite finish off South Point when the teams last played back in December of 2016 and fell 64-61. Can Blazer avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
