The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Rams: they've now lost three in a row.

Monroe Township saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Justin Mangano, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Monroe Township's loss dropped their record down to 14-14. As for Hightstown, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-9-2.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Rams beat Monroe Township by a score of 10-2 later that day.
