Basketball Recap: Rawlins County Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Kayte Shively and Tayten Dewey

Rawlins County lost against Central Plains back in March of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Rawlins County Buffaloes fell 58-48 to the Central Plains Oilers. The Buffaloes' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Rawlins County's loss came despite strong showings from Tayten Dewey and Kayte Shively. Dewey shot 54% from the field en route to 19 points, while Shively dropped a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards. Thanks to that strong game, Dewey now owns an excellent 45.3% shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Camden Franklin, who posted five points.

Rawlins County's defeat dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Central Plains, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Rawlins County nor Central Plains have any future games scheduled.
