Basketball Recap: Lakes Comes Up Short

Lakes was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the Grant Community Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 48-44 back in January.

Lakes' defeat dropped their record down to 7-19. As for Grant Community, their win bumped their record up to 15-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakes will venture away from home to face off against Grayslake Central at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Grant Community, they will head out to challenge Grayslake North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
