Baseball Recap: Manitowoc Lutheran Comes Up Short on the Road Against Two Rivers

Manitowoc Lutheran had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of the Two Rivers Purple Raiders by a score of 7-6 on Saturday. The Lancers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Purple Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Wesley Hecker was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Two Rivers' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3.

Manitowoc Lutheran has already played their next match, a 10-4 loss against Howards Grove on the 14th. As for Two Rivers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 5-3 defeat against Brillion on the 15th.
