Carrollton advanced to the Georgia Class AAAAAA semifinals after upsetting No. 1
Grayson (Loganville) 34-14 on Friday.
Carrollton (13-0) trailed 14-0 before scoring 34 unanswered points to end the game.

Cameron Wood led the way for the Trojans, scoring three rushing touchdowns while eclipsing 170 yards on the ground.

Wood started the scoring by ripping off a 69-yard touchdown, the longest of his career. His next carry was for 39 yards. He has scored at least two rushing touchdowns in each of his past nine games.
Grayson had won 26 straight games, including a 38-24 win over Carrollton in the 2024 state championship game.
The Rams went up 14-0 as
Ashton Turner and
Brandon Gray ran for touchdowns.
Grayson came close to extending the lead but a pair of Carrollton Georgia commits made big plays defensively.

Ryan Mosley intercepted a Grayson pass inside the 10-yard line. Then
Zykie Helton recorded two sacks to extinguish drives.
Carrollton tied the game with 5:34 left in the first half as freshman quarterback

The Trojans opened the scoring in the second half when senior kicker
Landon Vargas hit a 46-yard field goal with 7:43 left.
Grayson couldn’t get going on offense on its next two possession and Carrollton turned those into rushing touchdowns by Wood to extend the lead to 31-14.
With 3:17 left, Vargas hit another field goal to make it 34-14.
The Trojans will host
North Gwinnett (Suwanee) next week.
