Basketball Game Preview: Butler Bulldogs vs. Rocky River Ravens

The Butler Bulldogs will venture away from home to challenge the Rocky River Ravens at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Butler will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Butler is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since February 23, 2024 on Friday. They had just enough and edged East Mecklenburg out 40-37. The 40-point effort marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Meanwhile, Rocky River lost to Charlotte Catholic at home by a 74-60 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Ravens can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 200th, while the Cougars are ranked 40th).

Rocky River's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Butler, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 9-5.

Butler strolled past Rocky River in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 76-62. Will Butler repeat their success, or does Rocky River have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
