Baseball Recap: Valley View Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Valley View hadn't done well against Eaton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Spartans had just enough and edged out the Eagles 8-7. The game was the first time the Spartans have beaten the Eagles on their field since May 25, 2021.

Valley View's win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-5. As for Eaton, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6.

Looking ahead, Valley View will venture away from home to face off against Archbishop Alter at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Spartans are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a ten-game losing streak. As for Eaton, they will be playing at home against Carlisle at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
