Soccer Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Leesburg's 11th in Last 12 Outings

With a playoff win on the line, Leesburg rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They skirted past the Lecanto Panthers 7-6. Given the Yellow Jackets' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 135th, while the Panthers are ranked 309th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leesburg is also on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2-1 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 47 goals over those 12 contests. As for Lecanto, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 9-6.

Leesburg will take on Springstead at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Leesburg is coming into the game hot, having won their last four games. Lecanto does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
