St. John Lutheran saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luis Roman, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. What's more, Roman posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Ocala Christian came up short against Wildwood on Thursday, falling 16-6. The Crusaders haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.

St. John Lutheran now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Ocala Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

St. John Lutheran took their win against Ocala Christian in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 11-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. John Lutheran since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
