It was fun while it lasted, but Fonda-Fultonville's undefeated season came to an end after three games on Friday. They took a blow against the Berne-Knox-Westerlo Bulldogs, falling 67-33. The Valley Hawks lost against the Bulldogs in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 40-38 score last time.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fonda-Fultonville fell to 3-1. As for Berne-Knox-Westerlo, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fonda-Fultonville and Northville will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Berne-Knox-Westerlo will take on Maple Hill in a holiday battle at at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday. Berne-Knox-Westerlo knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Maple Hill likes a good challenge.
