Baseball Game Preview: Raceland Rams vs. Blazer Tomcats

The Raceland Rams will challenge the Blazer Tomcats at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The timing is sure in Raceland's favor as the team sits on 11 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Blazer has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Raceland's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Fairland 11-0. The Rams haven't had any issues with the Dragons recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Kadin Shore, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-3. Those two home runs gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Michael Pennington, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Shore wasn't the only one working in the home run department: Raceland lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

The home team had won the previous five meetings between Blazer and Greenup County, and Greenup County kept the tradition alive. The Tomcats took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Musketeers on Tuesday.
