Preview: Valley Vikings vs. Lesterville Bearcats
The Valley Vikings will be playing at home against the Lesterville Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Valley suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They took a serious blow against West County, falling 77-43. Valley has not had much luck with West County recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, Lesterville pushed their score all the way to 62 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bismarck. Lesterville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Valley has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-7 record this season. As for Lesterville, they dropped their record down to 2-12 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road.
Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Lesterville in their previous meeting back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 76-70 win.
