Soccer Recap: James Monroe Takes a Loss

James Monroe lost against Culpeper County two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Yellow Jackets fell 3-1 to the Blue Devils. While losing is never fun, James Monroe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 238th, while Culpeper County are ranked 103rd).

James Monroe has also been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-9-1 record this season. As for Culpeper County, their victory bumped their record up to 9-4-2.

Coming up, James Monroe will host Courtland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Culpeper County, they will head out on the road to square off against Maggie Walker at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Culpeper County is facing Maggie Walker at the right time seeing as Maggie Walker is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
