Basketball Recap: Rachel Neumiller's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon over Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 59-39 to the Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hornets of the 49-30 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Several Hornets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Rachel Neumiller, who posted 13 points. Braylee Keller was another key player, putting up 12 points along with eight boards and three steals.

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.

Harvey/Fessenden-Bowdon does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Tioga at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. One thing working in Tioga's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
