Volleyball Recap: Cameron Takes a Loss

Cameron was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Savannah Savages. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-19, 25-6.

Claire Hovey paced Cameron's offense, picking up six kills. Hovey got some help from Edie Ormsby and her 11 assists. Ormsby was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Cameron's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Savannah, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Cameron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Mid-Buchanan on the 20th. As for Savannah, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Bishop LeBlond on the 23rd.
