Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Olyvia Snodgrass and Jasmine Miles Lead Freeport to Victory

There's no place like home for Freeport, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They secured a 47-41 W over the Graceville Tigers on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the Bulldogs: when they faced off against the Tigers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 48-46 loss.

Freeport was led to victory by Jasmine Miles and Olyvia Snodgrass. Miles posted 20 points along with five rebounds and three steals, while Snodgrass put up 12 points and eight boards. Emma Ludwig was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to five boards and four steals.

Several Tigers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alicia Wilson, who had six points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aarshunni Curry, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Freeport's record is now 7-12. As for Graceville, their defeat ended a 13-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 15-2.

Freeport and Graceville could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Freeport (ranked 284th) will meet Rutherford (ranked 49th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Graceville will square off against Holmes County at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday down 111 places (142 vs. 31).
