Soccer Recap: Lemont Takes a Loss

If Lemont was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Stagg last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lemont HS came up short against the Lincoln-Way East Griffins on Thursday, falling 4-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Lemont of the 2-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2023.

Lemont's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Lincoln-Way East, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Lemont will head out on the road to face off against Thornton Fractional North/Thornton Fractional South at 9:00 a.m. on the 5th. This will be Lemont's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Lincoln-Way East, they will square off against Lyons at 10:00 a.m. on the 5th.
