Softball Recap: Viera Comes Up Short

Viera suffered their closest defeat since March 4th on Friday. They fell just short of the Palm Beach Gardens Gators by a score of 6-4. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 14-11 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2019.

Kamryn Potts made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for Viera and nudges their season record down to 10-5. As for Palm Beach Gardens, their win bumped their record up to 9-5.

Viera wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, an 8-5 victory against Oakleaf on the 4th. As for Palm Beach Gardens, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Coral Reef on the 4th.
