Fort Jennings and Ottoville are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Musketeers will head out to take on the Big Green at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Fort Jennings has four straight wins, Ottoville has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Monday, Fort Jennings was able to grind out a solid victory over Ayersville, taking the game 6-3.

Meanwhile, Ottoville came up short against Spencerville on Friday and fell 8-5.

Fort Jennings pushed their record up to 11-5 with the victory, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Ottoville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Ottoville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fort Jennings hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. It's a different story for Ottoville, though, as they've only averaged .247. Will they be able to contain Fort Jennings' hitters?

Fort Jennings beat Ottoville 7-3 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Musketeers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
