Sioux County added to the longest winning streak in 6-Man West (6 Man) this week by beating Minatare, 60-16. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Sioux County took down the Indians 60-16 last week, the largest margin of any game. Nathan Woodrum threw for 32 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 109 yards during the win.
Travis Hoover was a passing and rushing force as Hyannis beat Arthur County.
Hoover was a beast in the backfield as the Longhorns topped the Wolves.
Woodrum put up the best numbers through the air as Barry Swisher's team defeated Minatare.
The Warriors' Woodrum and Garrett Ellis led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-10 quarterback Woodrum has thrown for 1,361 yards this season, while Ellis has 38 catches for 717 yards. Hyannis' Hoover leads the league in rushing yards with 2,222.
Taryn Ostransky of the Cody-Kilgore is only 94 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 148 carries Ostransky has accumulated 906 yard this year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Sioux County takes on Bob Frederickson's team. The Warriors are currently in first, while the Longhorns are in third.
The league will see a high scoring game when Sioux County and Hyannis face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Warriors comes in having scored 429 this season, while the Longhorns have scored 418. Sioux County scored 60 points last week as it beat JJ Ozuna's team.
The Cowboys and Arcadia played the closest game in 6-Man West (6 Man) this week, with the Cowboys eventually emerging with a 20-18 victory. Ostransky ran for 131 yards and caught 1 pass for 32 yards in the win.
