Basketball Recap: Wetumpka's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

Wetumpka entered their matchup against Percy Julian on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Wetumpka Indians fell to the Percy Julian Phoenix 59-54. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 70-50 last Thursday.

Despite the loss, Wetumpka still got an impressive performance from Nolan Fitch, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine boards. With that strong performance, Fitch is now averaging an impressive 2 steals per game. Justin Godwin was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight assists and eight rebounds.

Even though they lost, Wetumpka smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in 22 consecutive games.
