Basketball Recap: Strongsville Mustangs vs. Olentangy Braves
Strongsville unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They lost 76-53 to the Olentangy Braves on Sunday.
Despite the loss, Strongsville still got an impressive performance from Adrian Fuentas, who went 6-for-9 en route to 17 points in addition to seven boards and three steals. Brandon Byers was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.
Ty Walburn had an outrageously good game for Olentangy as he shot 78% from the field on his way to 23 points. Those 23 points gave Walburn a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jackson Mangham, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 12 points and eight rebounds.
Strongsville wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 63-56 loss against Nordonia on the 2nd. As for Olentangy, they have also already played their next matchup, a 65-53 victory against Westerville South on the 2nd.
