Centennial got themselves on the board against Smyrna on Friday, but Smyrna never followed suit. They walked away with a 4-0 victory over the Bulldogs. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won five in a row.

Not much got past Asher Moore, who gave up just three hits to keep Smyrna off the board. Moore has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Centennial's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Rocco Cimarosti, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Another was Ben Gant, who went 1-for-2 with one triple.

Centennial's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Smyrna, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-18.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will head out to take on Independence at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Smyrna, they will square off against Cookeville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
