After each having a week off, the St. Michael's Warriors and the Antonian Prep Apaches will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Michael's will be strutting in after a win while Antonian Prep will be coming in after a loss.

St. Michael's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed two weeks ago. They really took it to St. Andrew's for the full four quarters, racking up a 34-0 victory at home. The Warriors pushed the score to 31-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Highlanders had no chance of recovering from.

A big part of St. Michael's win came down to the chemistry between Nico Anderson and his top target Pierce Kovacs. Anderson threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns while Kovacs picked up 39 receiving yards and a touchdown. Kovacs was even better on defense, making three total tackles and defending two passes in addition to snagging two interceptions.

St. Michael's defense was in the mix too, especially the secondary: they snagged three passes before it was all said and done. The picks came courtesy of Kovacs and Will Garcia. Meanwhile, Antonian Prep had to suffer through a 59-21 loss at the hands of Regents. While losing is never fun, the Apaches can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 495th, while the Knights are ranked 129th).

The victory (which was St. Michael's third in a row) raised their record to 3-0. As for Antonian Prep, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
