Baseball Recap: Ropes Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Ropes can now relate to. They fell just short of the Stamford Bulldogs by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The loss continues a trend for the Eagles in their meetings with the Bulldogs: they've now lost three in a row.

Ropes' defeat dropped their record down to 27-7. As for Stamford, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 20-4.

Ropes does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Stamford, they will challenge Gruver on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Bulldogs 2.8, the Greyhounds 2.5) so any runs scored will be well earned.
