Basketball Recap: Ringgold Takes a Loss

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 87-51, which was the final score in the Ringgold Rams's tilt against the Montour Spartans on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 510th, while the Spartans are ranked seventh).

It was another big night for Ama Tening Sow, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 15 boards for Montour. Sow is crushing it when it comes to rebounds: he's pulled down at least 12 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Colton Straight, who went 7 for 11 to rack up 19 points.

Ringgold's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Montour, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

As of now, neither Ringgold nor Montour have any future games scheduled.
