Basketball Game Preview: Edinburg Bobcats vs. Judson Rockets

The Edinburg Bobcats will head out on the road to take on the Judson Rockets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Edinburg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They came out on top against Veterans Memorial by a score of 32-22. The win continues a trend for the Bobcats in their matchups with the Chargers: they've now won four in a row.

Edinburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yuri Perez, who posted 17 points. Another player making a difference was Makayla Olvera, who put up six points along with seven boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Judson entered their tilt with Medina Valley on Monday with 27 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 28. They took their game with ease, bagging a 70-35 victory over the Panthers. The Rockets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 16 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Edinburg's record is now 22-14. As for Judson, their record now sits at 35-1.

Edinburg couldn't quite finish off Judson in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 and fell 56-53. Can Edinburg avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
