Baseball Recap: Montgomery Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Montgomery's offense. They fell 3-0 to the Eastlake Titans on Wednesday. The Aztecs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Titans earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Montgomery has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-16 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 4.0 runs on average over those games. As for Eastlake, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8-1.

Looking ahead, Montgomery will challenge San Ysidro at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Eastlake, they will take on Bonita Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
