Recap: Effingham Flaming Hearts vs. Charleston Trojans

The Effingham Flaming Hearts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 67-45 defeat at the hands of Charleston. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Effingham in their matchups with Charleston: they've now lost seven in a row.

It was another big night for Adam Rudibaugh, who scored 21 points for Charleston. Rudibaugh hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. Tyler Oakley was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Effingham dropped their record down to 3-26 with that defeat, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Charleston, their victory bumped their record up to 11-15.

Effingham didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 69-37 loss vs. Alton on the 10th. Charleston has also already played their next game, a 67-42 defeat against Mt. Zion on the 7th.
