Basketball Recap: Fulton Takes a Loss

Fulton was the 58-56 winner over Oak Ridge when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Fulton Falcons fell to the Oak Ridge Wildcats 54-49. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 91st, while the Wildcats are ranked 20th).

Fulton has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 12-15 record this season. As for Oak Ridge, the victory was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-3.

Fulton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Oak Ridge, they will face off against Sevier County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are headed into the matchup with plenty of momentum (Oak Ridge has won 12 straight at home dating back to last season, while Sevier County won four straight on the road), something that'll have to change.
