Football Game Preview: Paris Coyotes vs. Knox County Eagles

Paris hasn't had much luck against Knox County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Coyotes will head out to square off against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Paris 14, Knox County 13.6) so any points scored will be well earned.

Paris is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Missouri's top teams: North Shelby, who was ranked sixth at the time (Paris was ranked 16th). The Coyotes fell 34-26 to the Raiders on Friday. The game marked the Coyotes' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

The losing side was boosted by Luke Ensor, who threw for 274 yards and four touchdowns. He has been hot for a while, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last nine times he's played.

Meanwhile, Knox County put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Kansas City East Christian Academy 64-12. The Eagles pushed the score to 64-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions cut but never quite recovered from.

Having lost for the first time this season, Paris fell to 4-1. As for Knox County, their victory bumped their record up to 5-0.

Everything came up roses for Paris against Knox County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 60-20 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Coyotes since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
