Basketball Game Preview: Elko Indians vs. Churchill County Greenwave

Elko and Churchill County are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2018, but not for long. The Elko Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Churchill County Greenwave at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Elko is headed into the match having just suffered their closest loss since January 17th on Saturday. They fell just short of Sierra Vista by a score of 46-44.

Churchill County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The contest between them and Liberty didn't end well, with Churchill County falling 41-26. The game marked the Greenwave's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Elko's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Churchill County, their loss dropped their record down to 9-5.

Elko came up short against Churchill County in their previous matchup back in January, falling 45-32. Can Elko avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
