Volleyball Recap: Vanguard College Prep's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

Vanguard College Prep was the 3-0 winner over Delta Charter when they last played one another back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Lions took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dragons on Tuesday. The Lions' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 12-25, 25-15, 25-15.

When it comes to explaining why Vanguard College Prep lost, don't look at Adalyn Por. Despite the final result, she had five aces and four assists. With that strong performance, Por is now averaging an impressive 2.1 aces per game.

Marisa Ballesteros was nothing short of spectacular for Delta Charter: she had eight digs and eight aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Montagnese, who had three aces and two assists.

Vanguard College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Delta Charter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-4 record this season.
