Marengo is a perfect 10-0 against Harvard since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Marengo's offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Johnsburg on Friday. They were outmatched by the Skyhawks and fell 28-0. The loss was the Indians' first of the season.

Meanwhile, Harvard was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 44-8 loss at the hands of Woodstock North. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 446th, while the Thunder are ranked 187th).

Harvard's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Marengo, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Marengo didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Harvard in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, but they still walked away with a 33-29 victory. Will the Indians repeat their success, or do the Hornets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
