Katy Taylor hasn't had much luck against Tompkins recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Mustangs will head out to challenge the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Tompkins took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Katy Taylor, who comes in off a win.

Katy Taylor took a loss when they played away from home on Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They rang in the new year with a 69-58 win over Paetow. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Tompkins played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Katy, falling 65-40. The Falcons were down 44-22 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

Katy Taylor's win bumped their record up to 20-4. As for Tompkins, their loss dropped their record down to 14-12.
