South Lyon extended their winning streak to ten on Thursday, bumping their season record up to 15-5 in the process. They didn't even let the Walled Lake Western Warriors on the board, marking the Lions' second-straight 9-0 shutout. Considering the Lions have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

As for Walled Lake Western, they dropped their record down to 9-8-2 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. Surprisingly, this marked their fourth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

For Walled Lake Western's part, they got a good showing from Devin Burke, who pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Burke has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Coincidentally, South Lyon and Walled Lake Western will both be playing Lakeland the next time they take the field. The Warriors will head out to face the Eagles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Lions will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
