Softball Recap: James Monroe Takes a Loss

James Monroe lost against Independence back in May of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. James Monroe lost 12-4 to Independence. The Mavericks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Peyton Street was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one triple and two RBI.

Even though they lost, James Monroe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .609. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Independence only posted an OBP of .333.

James Monroe now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Independence, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

James Monroe has already played their next match (against Bluefield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Independence, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-4 loss against Symmes Valley on the 29th.
