Basketball Recap: Ocean City Takes a Loss

Ocean City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 52-48 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Joseph Wildcats. The Raiders were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 54-42.

Ocean City's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for St. Joseph, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 20-4.

Ocean City and St. Joseph should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New Jersey Rankings. Ocean City (ranked 58th) will meet Wildwood (ranked 357th) at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, St. Joseph will take on Camden Academy Charter at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday up 321 places (88 vs. 409).
