Soccer Recap: Shasta Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Shasta unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Corning Cardinals by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

Gavin Copeland wasn't going to let Corning walk away unscathed as he scored both of Shasta's goals.

Corning's victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Shasta wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 win against Anderson on the 5th. As for Corning, they have also already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Colusa on the 6th.
