Baseball Recap: First Coast Buccaneers vs. Lincoln Trojans
First Coast was not able to break out of their rough patch in their second game on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a rough 8-2 walloping at the hands of the Lincoln Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to First Coast of the 5-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.
First Coast saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hunter Carns, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
On Lincoln's side, Garrett Harper made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Harper was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
