Softball Recap: Poland Takes a Loss

Poland fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against Oriskany on Wednesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Skyhawks by a score of 11-10. The Tornadoes have struggled against the Skyhawks recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Poland's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Oriskany, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 4-6 record.

Coming up, Poland will look to defend their home field on Monday against Sauquoit Valley at 4:30 p.m. As for Oriskany, they will take on Hamilton at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Emerald Knights will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Skyhawks surely won't give up without a fight.
