Basketball Recap: Mason Classical Academy Comes Up Short

Mason Classical Academy lost against Babcock back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Paladins took a 71-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trailblazers.

Jameson Habing was nothing short of spectacular for Babcock: he dropped a double-double with 25 points and 22 rebounds. Those 22 boards gave Habing a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jordan DeMond, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 13 points in addition to six blocks and five rebounds.

Mason Classical Academy dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Babcock, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Mason Classical Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on The Village School of Naples at 5:30 p.m. on December 2. As for Babcock, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-41 victory against Hardee on the 21st.
